If I was a color, I wouldn't be a dull gray
I would be a purple - attractive, mysterious 
yet perfectly ordinary 
under some lights and in some depths

If I was a color, I would be the obstinate orange
bold and evermore
confidently stating my presence

If I was a color, I would be the beholding blue
my essence coloring the oceans of the world
or the dauntless black
stellar, stunningly captivating
New York City's official hue 

If I was a color, I would be the radiant red
romance would be my middle name
I would be love, heartbeat and all
lusciously driving you heels over head

If I was a color, I would be the abundant yellow
glorious like the sun rays
calming and mellow
I would give the world a giant hug
tickle the mountains and forests’ grassy rug

If I could be any color, 
I'd be a color that makes you smile
an aid to walk life's million miles 
a color that helps you forget your woes 
that makes friends of foes 
a color that makes you kind
spring daffodils, sprout sunshine
